  • Hey Now Frans,
    Great show!
    Thx,
    Catto

  • That was pretty cool to listen to.
Never knew that FireStar filed a patent infringement case against redhat nor about ALT.NET vs EF. Thanks for teh infos.

  • Awesome; I've been pitching them to bring you on the show -- I'm glad they / you went with it :)

  • Cool interview, Frans!

One note: you can't patent ideas in US either.

"The short answer to the question is you can't patent an idea."

  • Maybe it's just me, but why does it feel like all your blog posts are just about how great you are, and why the rest of the world are losers?

You know, "vanity" is one of the seven deadly sins, you should think about.

I think you're a very smart person, and you deserve some of the attention you're getting, without a doubt. But why don't you let others tell the world about it, instead of constantly bragging about everything you do?

I'm certainly not the only one who has this opinion, and I also wouldn't be surprised if this comment wouldn't last long on your blog.

  • @phil:
Where am I bragging that I'm so incredibly great? Don't you think your post is a bit erm.... silly? :)

Btw, I just blog about my thoughts on software engineering, how *I* think stuff should be done, and that's it. If you think that's arrogant, well, get a blog yourself and tell the world you know it better and show me I'm wrong in my opinions.

Posts like yours are not really adding anything to *any* debate.

  • This post for example, and the ones where you have to tell everyone that you once again were picked as MVC. Those are things that don't come across very well in my part of the world (Belgium). I guess that's the main reason why I feel this way about your posts...

As I said, it's probably just me :)

  • Phil, oh come on now... can I be a little happy about the fact an important .NET podcast asked me for an interview? I have no idea why you feel that way, but I think it's very reasonable to simply link on my own blog to an interview I had, so others who DO want to listen what I had to say can do so.

You meant MVP I think? Yes well... receiving a reward like that is similar, why can't I post about the fact I got a reward? How is that bragging... ?

Anyway, this gets a little annoying. If you can't stand the fact that I got asked by .net rocks and posted a link to the interview here, I'm sorry, but if THAT act alone makes me an arrogant asshole, so be it.

  • That's it Frans, from now on you are only allowed to post when you have depressing information to share, otherwise its arrogant.

  • I'm jealous of Frans' skills and success too, but I try to avoid to make all the world be aware of it.
